When people consider becoming a webmaster, they realize that they likely don't already have all of the skills necessary to do the job. What do most of us do when we feel we're lacking a skill? We look to education for answers.
If you want to become a doctor, you take a degree in medicine. If you want to become and electrician, you take an electrician diploma. The list goes on for a large number of other specialized fields as well. But what education do you need to become a webmaster?
The short answer is that you don't need any formal education at all in order to become a successful webmaster. You see unlike engineers, nurses, flight control operators and other similar fields, there is no certifying authority that allows or disallows you to work in your trade.
If you feel that you already have the skills necessary to be a successful webmaster, there's no governing body that can prevent you from doing it. But if you feel that you need some help learning new skills to become a webmaster, or even a better webmaster, there are a lot of options.
